In the effort to make Sackville's public school system the best it can be, it's worthwhile to examine successful models that exist elsewhere for ideas. There has been much written lately about the successes of the Finnish education system, in which students and teachers are thriving, so let's take a closer look at some of the features that stand out about Finnish schools.
Change is in the air
The time is here for a new model of public education for Sackville students. There are two main reasons that Sackville Schools 2020 came into being. First of all, two of the three K-12 public school facilities in Sackville are in need of a large investment of money in order to repair the issues they face. Secondly, the public school system is under review across the country and we want this community to have a voice in creating a 21st century model that meets the needs of our children.
